Rachel Ulloa
Academic Support Coordinator and Instructor – Rachel joins Buckley Tutors! as the Academic Support Coordinator. Rachel oversees all academic support programs with Buckley. Rachel is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and holds a Masters in Education.
She brings to Buckley her comprehensive classroom experience and her personal experience of tutoring students and working with families in La Jolla, California. Having worked with students of all ages, she has a keen understanding of their social and academic needs as they develop and progress through school.

Robin Olmstead
Educational Counselor – Robin joins the Buckley Team as an Educational Counselor. Robin earned her undergraduate degree at Whittier College in Southern California and her Masters Degree in Counseling and Student Personnel at Loyola Marymount University. Robin works with students on their individual educational needs. Her work includes educational planning for high school and college in addition to her collaborative work with local schools.

Janette Nikolakopoulos
Writing Program & Professional Development Coordinator. Janette brings to Buckley many years as an English instructor. Janette earned her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and her graduate degree at St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California. In our work with students, we noticed a weakness in their writing acumen and sophistication. Janette works directly with the Academic Support and Counseling teams at Buckley integrating writing programs, support and direct service.

Carrie Peck
Educational Advisor – Carrie is an integral component to the Buckley Team. As an Educational Advisor, she works collaboratively with the Educational Counseling Team to ensure students move seamlessly through their educational process. Managing the vast details is a natural complement to Carrie’s assets as she brings to the Buckley Team. Carrie earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Carrie holds a Certificate from the University of California at Los Angeles in College Consulting.She is currently pursuing her Graduate degree in Counseling from the University of San Francisco. Karen Kelly
Accounts Receivable – Karen brings to the Buckley Team her vast experience and knowledge in the field of office management and bookkeeping. She has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for most of her life, raising her three children in the local high schools and college systems. Her friendly manner and attention to detail is a key trait for her work on our team. Lynne McDonald
Academic Instructor – Lynne brings years of experience in math education as a math intervention specialist, math improvement tutor and math summer school instructor both as a private tutor and as a long-time volunteer in schools. She specialized in math intervention and math improvement with students from elementary through high school. With a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and a Master degree in Engineering, both from UC Berkeley, she started out as a computer instructor at Lowell High School, UC Berkeley, and Mills College in Oakland. After working in high tech as an Engineering Manager she returned to the education world, focusing on math education.

Sophie Silverstein
Sophie graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University with a major in Sociology and minors in Social Justice / Social Policy /and Women/Gender Studies. Sophie’s experience working in education includes assistant teaching in preschool and elementary school classrooms, tutoring, and education focused non-profits. Her other interests include blogging about fashion and culture, jewelry making, photography and exploring San Francisco.
