We ensure that students apply to schools that reflect each student’s educational and personal needs. With this in mind, students achieve acceptance into one (if not all) of their top three colleges. Our students also receive, on the average of $20,000 per year in scholarships.

She worked in multiple educational systems, providing her with a deep and broad foundation of educational systems, student motivations and finding the appropriate educational setting to fit each student.

Alexandra Ellison
Education Associate - Bringing her holistic approach to understanding educational systems and the students within, Alexandra works in the Reno, Nevada office guiding students, educational systems, and their families with their educational journeys. Alexandra earned her degree at Northwestern University. She has traveled extensively, studied and lived in Germany/Austria and brings to Buckley Education a lifelong commitment to guiding others with their individual paths.

Caitlin Kneier
Educational Counselor - As an educational counselor at Buckley Education, Caitlin works with students on their educational journey. With a unique talent for uncovering each student’s unique talents, Caitlin develops an individual educational plan for each student. Caitlin earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and her graduate degree from the University of San Francisco in School Counseling. Caitlin also holds her Pupil Personnel Services credential with the State of California.

Sophie Silverstein
Enrollment Coordinator & Academic Instructor - Sophie’s experience in education ranges from assistant teaching in preschool and elementary school classrooms to business development for an education startup to academic support and test prep tutoring for nonprofits and private firms. She earned her B.A. in sociology from Brandeis University and is in the process of earning her College Counseling Certificate from University of California Los Angeles. Sophie brings her analytical lens and creative thinking to Buckley by individualizing learning plans and recognizing each student’s unique learning style.

Academic Support Team
Lynne McDonald
Academic Instructor – Lynne brings years of experience in math education as a math intervention specialist, math improvement tutor and math summer school instructor both as a private tutor and as a long-time volunteer in schools. She specialized in math intervention and math improvement with students from elementary through high school. With a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and a Master degree in Engineering, both from UC Berkeley, she started out as a computer instructor at Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley, and Mills College in Oakland. After working in high tech as an Engineering Manager she returned to the education world, focusing on math education.

Mark Pagano
Academic Instructor - As a teacher committed to students understanding their core academic knowledge, Mark works with students in the area of Science. From Biology to Chemistry to Physics, Mark guides students with their depth of knowledge in science. Mark holds a California teaching credential and is currently employed at a private high school in San Francisco.

Operations Manager – Ann oversees all aspects of the Buckley Education organization. As the Operations Manager she understands the needs of students, parents and the individual work needed for each person. Ann graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and is an avid fan of her alma mater.
