Thank you so much for helping me with my essays.  I really enjoyed your help and support.  I had a very positive interview and {unnamed} is still my first choice.

Rising 9th grade student

Working at Buckley Education allowed me to feel confident and comfortable before, during, and after my college application process. Mrs. Lisa Kraft was always readily available to help me and remained patient and positive with all of the questions and concerns I had, whether they concerned my writing, school choices, or technical information. Her work allowed me to devise essays I was confident in and applications I was proud to submit.

As we hit the submit button on Whit’s college applications this week, we felt grateful for your guidance during the process. No surprises in the selections, but confident that we chose the right ones. Many thanks, Jean Marie.

We could not have been happier on Friday when we learned Clay was admitted to Stanford. Clay would not be here today without all your guidance and expertise over the years. You helped him so much. Thank you!!!. We are so happy for him. Did I say Thank You!

– A.S.

We cannot begin to thank you for the guidance you are providing Nikki. She has a renewed sense of confidence and a determination we have not seen before. We know how busy your schedule is and we so appreciate you fitting her into it.

– D. M.

Just got a call from Penn offering Kevin a spot!  We cannot tell you how much your kindness and diligence during this arduous process has meant to Kevin & to us.  Thanks a gazillion.

My experience with Buckley Education could not have been more successful or enjoyable.  Starting with the first day I walked into the office I have felt as though I am in the hands of professional educators that are striving to best prepare their students for their college experience.  Caitlin helped me to provide all my applications with the best image of me as a student and as a person and I am ecstatic about the end results.

– M.C.

It was really nice having feedback from someone who is experienced and knowledgeable with how the college application process works. For me, the college essays are completely different from the essays I've learned to write in English class. Working with Buckley has helped me figure out what to write and how to write it in the most appealing way possible.

With the personal college counseling that Caitlin offered, I felt that my college application experience was much less difficult than it would have been alone. Being one on one with Caitlin was helpful as she gave me her full attention and answered all of my endless college questions. The counseling rooms are comfortable and I felt at ease while we worked through stressful things such as college essays. As there are few people willing to truly help with a high schooler's college apps, the Buckley counselors are even more perfect. They have this unlimited knowledge on the college topic and are impartial to college decisions and essay subjects. I would recommend Buckley to a friend and wish they could follow me to college for help on my mid-terms papers :)

Working with the Buckley Education Group has helped me stay on task throughout the college application process. Meeting once a week pushed me to work on my college applications. Because of Buckley, I have been able to enjoy my senior year at high school. I was not stressed to complete my college applications last minute. I was able to complete my all of my college apps ahead of schedule because the support in and out of the office.

Buckley Ed has truly been kind and giving, ready to go the extra mile to make appointments despite my tight schedule and heavy workload. I always felt supported and even loved while working with the Buckley team.

– Joan - Class of 2016

Buckley Education Group is a remarkable institution that has exceeded my expectations regarding college counselors. The once seemingly tedious process to apply for college has been smooth and conquerable for me with the help of my college counselor.

– M.P.

Buckley has provided me with all the aid/support I desperately needed and more- academically and emotionally. She is readily available, understanding, and trustworthy. She made sure I was punctual with my assignments and helped me shine my best through my essays and applications. However, what truly made my experience with Buckley the best I could ever ask for was her constant support and understanding towards my emotional concerns…. She was patient and readily open, giving me a huge hug and authentic advice that allowed me to take a step back and reach my epiphany for the final draft of my Common Application essay. Coming out of that meeting, I realized that my counselor has become a dear friend that I can trust and rely on through all my crazy ups and downs.

You do such important work.  I hope to you sleep each night a sense of enormous fulfillment.

“When I started thinking about college applications, I didn’t even know where to begin. As soon as I got started with Buckley Education Group, they laid out a plan and I got started right away. The Buckley team was a tremendous help and I would most definitely recommend their services to anyone applying to college. They provided great advice when choosing which schools to apply to and recommended specific schools that fit my personality and taste. The application process can be very overwhelming, but the Buckley team kept me on track and was with me every step of the way. Not only did I get accepted to my first choice school, I also had the opportunity to learn more about myself and I was able to find out exactly what I was looking for in my college experience.”

Assume Evan has, by this point, written to tell you the great news: accepted to all 7 UCs, most notably Berkeley and LA. It is a remarkable story that you have played an important part in helping tell--not just to them, but to himself. I have no words big enough to hold my gratitude for you and all you did for him.”

“My experience with Buckley Education could not have been more successful or enjoyable.  Starting with the first day I walked into the office I have felt as though I am in the hands of professional educators that are striving to best prepare their students for their college experience.  Caitlin helped me to provide all my applications with the best image of me as a student and as a person and I am ecstatic about the end results.  I was able to turn in nine of my twelve applications by October 12th and that provided me with great peace of mind and confidence in my work.  Every meeting I had with Caitlin and every tutoring session I had for the ACT helped me create the most complete and accurate depiction of myself in my applications.  My ACT score improved tremendously and my supplements and personal statement were transformed into essays that are both true to me and well written.  Buckley Education gave me the knowledge and confidence to finish my applications and even made it fun for me!  I always looked forward to my meetings because I knew that Caitlin would be there to provide insight and support for me.  I am so glad that I got involved with Buckley Education and if I had to do it again I would no doubt return so that I could be equally successful as I was in the past couple months. Thank you so much Buckley for helping me through this stressful period in my life, I couldn’t have done it without them!”

“Buckley Education Group is a remarkable institution that has exceeded my expectations regarding college counselors. The once seemingly tedious process to apply for college has been smooth and conquerable for me with the help of my college counselor.

I started with Buckley Education through a college essay workshop my junior year and after a glimpse of Buckley’s inner workings, I was confident that Buckley was the place to go. Without Buckley, I would have been lost. As the first child in my family to go through this process in the United States, I started panicking and drowning in all the things I had to learn and do. She, however, pulled me out and helped me realize what an excellent swimmer I am. She has provided me with all the aid/support I desperately needed and more- academically and emotionally. She is readily available, understanding, and trustworthy. She made sure I was punctual with my assignments and helped me shine my best through my essays and applications.

However, what truly made my experience with Buckley the best I could ever ask for was her constant support and understanding towards my emotional concerns. At one meeting, I became very emotionally vulnerable and broke down as the stress of senior year came crashing. Usually, I would feel extremely embarrassed at my loss of control but with Buckley, I was comfortable as if I was with a close friend or family relative. She was patient and readily open, giving me a huge hug and authentic advice that allowed me to take a step back and reach my epiphany for the final draft of my Common Application essay. Coming out of that meeting, I realized that Buckley has become a dear friend that I can trust and rely on through all my crazy ups and downs. I don’t know how she managed to handle my spontaneous edits, sudden impulsive monologues, and my last minute paranoid check ins before I turned in my applications, but she did with grace. She remained calm as I blew threw the different emotional spectrums, which influenced me to calm down, making this process a whole lot easier. I felt no judgmental adult looking down on me but a smiling friend that still managed to make sure I got everything done with the highest quality I could offer.

I eagerly recommend Buckley Education as a high school student’s choice to partner with for this unique and life-changing process. Buckley was a miracle worker.  Thank-you so much for all you have done and I hope you would not mind if I stop by the office when I come back from college to say “hi” and see how you are doing.  No one else would have been a better counselor for me than you.”

John's Story
Our first meeting was to talk about his education, his achievement and his goals beyond his current high school.  While I will keep his name confidential (as that is the nature of our confidential practice), he is a student that will, forever, resound in my memories.  For the purposes of this story, I will call him ~ John.
Quite simply, John wanted to attend one particular, top tier university.  He was raised by his mother and his father, while in his life, could not support John's aspirations.  Months into his process, I learned about John's interest in teaching his classmates (and underclassman) computer programming.  He was actively involved in his school's swimming program, but did not want to pursue colleagiate swimming. – Our February 2017 Story

(con't) He swam for social reasons and to stay integrated within the entire fabric of his school's community. He was active in San Francisco as he, as a young activist, saw the need for his voice to be heard on issues surrounding the political and social landscape. The application process unfolded in the way that the application process unfolds with Buckley Ed.  John's application reflected his character and desire to pursue his intellect and social responsibility within the higher education setting.
The waiting began and as all applications come forth for the Regular Decision process, he received his admission decision.  I will never, ever forget the look in his eyes when he walked into the office.  He made it!  Not only did he receive the admission decision he had hoped for, but he received a full scholarship to attend.
This story is a few years old, but I share it as often as I can.  It's a reflection of what can be and what will be if hard work, determination, authentic character development is demonstrated.  John attended his first choice place of higher education and after two years took time off to work for a non-profit organization; a testament to his desire to affect change.  He is back at the university, completing his undergraduate degree and the world is full of possibilities for him.  I'm curious to hear of his new adventures in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.
